This begins with providing every pupil with a high quality, nutritious lunch and healthy snacks at school.
Our in-school catering team creates a weekly menu of fresh, varied and delicious meals where healthy eating is actively encouraged and dietary requirements and food intolerances are accommodated. All food is freshly cooked on school premises by our catering team.
Pupils have the option to participate in mid-morning breaks and wrap around provision offerings. Breakfast is served at 7.45am and Tea Club operates from 4.00pm. At breakfast, pupils can choose from cereal, toast, fruit, or bacon and sausage buns to set them up for an active day.
At lunch, menus are refreshed on a three weekly basis so pupils’ diets are varied and everyone has the opportunity to try new dishes. All children are actively encouraged to sit down and enjoy a hot meal with friends; popular choices include fish and chip Friday and, of course, Christmas Dinner Day!
Please note, all of the chicken used in our dishes is halal.

We also cater for special dietary needs and allergies. Menus are available for pupils and parents to view at any time and we are always keen to discuss any specific requirements. The kitchen team are very well informed about individual needs and also the ingredients within each dish. Local suppliers are used as much as possible.
When trips and visits are arranged, the school catering team can supply healthy packed lunches, which include a freshly made sandwich, piece of fruit and a bottle of water.
Our pupils are actively encouraged to contribute to our catering provision and provide feedback via School Council.
