I taught at a local independent school for six years before working as Head of Music in the state school sector for ten years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I am hugely passionate about extra-curricular activities and love bringing everyone together for a School show – it’s like a musical family.
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
My role is really varied so there’s never a dull moment!
What is your favourite time of the year?
I love being outside in the summertime but there’s something really special about being a musician at Christmas – all those carol services and concerts. There’s nothing quite like it.
What do others say about you?
That I’m enthusiastic about my subject. A student recently commented that I always find a way for everyone to be involved and feel included, which I was thrilled to hear.
