Life before Teesside High School

I was Head of Junior School Physical Education and Performing Arts School Manager at Red House School. I took a sabbatical to start up a rural tourism business in the Algarve, Portugal but this was just before Covid-19! I have also been a Speech and Drama Teacher at Stagecoach Performing Arts.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy getting to know my students really well as individuals. I enjoy helping them to gain confidence in life as well as in public speaking and drama.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

The friendly and helpful staff who have an open door policy. The extremely well behaved students with positive attitudes. The family ethos, calm environment and beautiful grounds!

What is your favourite time of year?

Spring is my favourite time of year. It’s the start of something new, it feels exciting and I love to see the first signs of new life and all the lambs in the fields!

I’m friendly, loyal and approachable. I am a good listener and happy to support others in their growth and endeavours as a friend and/or mentor.
