Life before Teesside High School

I have been teaching for 18 years and have worked in a number of schools across the country. For the last six years, I have been a Vice Principal in two different state schools, however I missed the face-to-face contact with the students.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love teaching and hopefully inspiring young people to learn about and enjoy Physics. Those ‘light bulb’ moments when a young person ‘gets it’ and their face lights up are hard to beat.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

The small classes, meaning that I can concentrate on giving every student that best possible learning experience.

What is your favourite time of the year?

Spring. New hope, new life, new beginnings and lighter mornings and evenings!

What do others say about you?

Depends who you ask… hopefully most say that I’m a good teacher who explains things well and makes learning enjoyable.
