Life before Teesside High School

I am a former pupil of THS. I have spent lots of time living abroad, including two years in India, one in Germany, one in China and three in the Netherlands! I moved back to the UK to become a teacher and after working at a school in Middlesbrough I had the opportunity to come back to THS and took it!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy being able to interact with and teach wonderful young people who are eager to learn, ambitious and passionate about social and environmental change.

What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?

THS focuses on helping our young people develop into well-rounded individuals and not purely academic machines. I enjoy being able to run timetabled extracurricular activities alongside my academic teaching.

What is your favourite time of the year?

The run-up to the winter break, when everything is festive (and the highly competitive house choir competition!).
