Nursery Stay and Play
We host regular Stay and Play events to ensure a smooth transition for Nursery children
Prospective pupils are warmly invited to attend Teesside High School’s termly Stay and Play events from the age of 2.
We are proud to work in partnership with parents and families, building positive and proactive relationships to ensure your child’s very best start in life in our wonderful Early Years (EYFS) setting.
Our Stay and Play events take place each term in our designated EYFS facilities; in the spring and summer months we like to make the most of our fantastic outdoor spaces, such as our Nursery playground and extensive Forest School.
These events are informal and relaxed; the aim is for your child to become comfortable in a new environment, meeting other little ones and enjoying themed activities. Family members are invited to meet our nurturing Early Years team, see the spaces and facilities their child will soon explore and learn more about the Nursery experience at Teesside High.
You will be invited to find out about our:
- Early Years class sizes – an average of 11 in 2024
- Lessons delivered by subject specialists, in music and PE, for example
- Range of educational off-site visits for our youngest pupils
- Co-curricular opportunities, including Once Upon A Time story club, or Green Fingers Gardening
- Unrivalled pastoral care for all pupils.
