Winter Concert – Thursday 12 December, 6.30pm

Tuesday 03 December 2024 | By Erin McKeown

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting our annual Winter Concert on Thursday 12 December at 6.30pm in the  Main Hall.

What can I expect?

Our Winter Concert consists of performances from students across multiple year groups, showcasing their outstanding musical talents and creating a warm and festive environment for all.  This year’s performances will include solo pieces, ensembles, choir and orchestra as well as pieces from our Year 7 students and Prep School pupils, not forgetting some audience participation as is now tradition!

Refreshments will be available to purchase during a short interval.

Prize raffle in support of Zoe’s Place

This year’s prize raffle will be in support of Zoe’s Place Children’s Hospice.  Opened in 2004, the Middlesbrough hospice provides respite, end of life and palliative care for babies, infants and children from across the Teesside and wider North East region, with life-limiting conditions and complex needs, as well as support for the whole family.  This year, Zoe’s Place is celebrating two decades of providing free specialist care to families who need it in the six-bedroom hospice, which has a state of the art sensory room, soft play, outdoor play area and garden.  Interaction with animals, music, art and physiotherapy is incorporated into day to day activities, alongside counselling therapies and bereavement support groups.  The vision of Zoe’s Place is to ensure that every baby and young child, living in our region, has access to specialist short break support, palliative and end of life care for another 20 years and beyond.

We are delighted to support them this Christmas.
