Teesside High School shares refurbishment and extension plans to riverside tennis facility

We are delighted to share with you plans for a full refurbishment and exciting extension to the school’s riverside tennis courts, commencing August 2024.

The works will include the installation of a new multi-sports surface course, laid to Lawn Tennis Association, the governing body of the sport in Great Britain, and British Standard.

A change in the orientation and an extension of the courts in two directions will make the space suitable for both professional tennis and netball – designed also to meet England Netball requirements.

Increased playing space for tennis and netball

The extension will take the playing space to almost 1250m2, with increased side run off between courts.

An acrylic slip resistant coloured surface (seen above) and new fencing, posts, nets, netball sockets and equipment will make this space an incredible facility for our outstanding players to further develop their talents.
