Iceland Trip – February 2026

Friday 06 December 2024 | By Erin McKeown

Students in Years 7 to 12 have the exciting opportunity to visit Iceland as part of a school-wide trip, running from Thursday 19 February to Sunday 22 February 2026.

This residential trip has been organised to study volcanoes, plate tectonics and the impacts of climate change so, as such, has a Geography focus. However, the beautiful country of Iceland provokes great interest, so we are therefore opening the trip to all current Senior and Sixth Form pupils.

Trip itinerary

The itinerary is jam-packed and includes amazing and unforgettable experiences, from crossing bridges between continents, visiting the impressive Seltún Geothermal Area, enjoying the Sólheimajökull Glacier Walk, exploring the magnificent Reynisfjara beach and visiting the Secret Lagoon and impressive Gullfoss waterfall.

The trip takes in two locations; two nights will be spent in a rural location to reduce the amount of time travelling each day and one night is spent in the capital Reykjavik.

Book your child’s place via ParentPay

The trip cost is £1500 and is fully inclusive of flights, transfers, a full itinerary, meals and accommodation. Details for booking and the associated payment plan can be found in the letter circulated to parents by Mrs Donovan, Head of Geography.

We hope it will be a trip to remember!
