After leaving school, I served my time as a Bench Joiner. Later I studied at Teesside University and then Northumbria University, where I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying.
I’m currently a Senior Building Surveyor and a large amount of my time is taken up looking after schools and public buildings.
I became a Governor at THS as I believe strongly in the school and feel that my experience working in the same sector has given me the ability to contribute to the continued growth and success of the school; helping to provide a bright and prosperous future for the staff, parents and the wider community, but most importantly the pupils present and future.
As a Governor, I am Chair of the facilities subcommittee and responsible for our fantastic buildings and stunning grounds.
I have lived all my life in Teesside and currently reside in Norton. I’m married and have one son who has attended THS from nursery. Outside of work, I enjoy training our dog and riding motorbikes and my wife tells me I also like gardening (apparently).
