How long have you been at Teesside High School?
I joined in September 2021 in Year 10. Only two and a half years ago!

What has been the highlight of your time at Teesside High School?
Definitely the school productions! Each one is unique and equally brilliant. Working with such a dedicated group of people on a final production is so rewarding and so much fun. It teaches so many important skills in such an enjoyable, collaborative way which I think describes Teesside High itself, beyond its productions, very well.

Which subjects are you studying?
I study A-level English Language, Drama, History and Physics.

What are your aspirations beyond Teesside High School?
I would love to go to university. I would be interested in seeing which opportunities I can use to my advantage to further my education and broaden my options for later in life.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I love to be active. I love going on walks and I’ve been a gymnast for nearly ten years. I have even qualified as a gymnastics judge for competitions. Beyond that, I have a great love for learning itself in and out of lessons about a wide range of topics.

What are you going to bring to your role?
I hope to bring not only a friendly face to the role but also someone who everyone can talk to and share ideas with. I have already taken an active role in the School Council, am part of several committees throughout the school and I am also a prefect. I am a respectful and motivated person who students can look up to.

Having joined the school relatively recently, I have an understanding of what education is like elsewhere and through that I can emphasise the wonderful school that Teesside High is and the opportunities it has given me that have shaped me into the person I am today. Through this, I hope to inspire students to take advantage of every opportunity available at THS, and I hope to represent their own interests and ideas within the school community.
