Life before Teesside High School
After finishing my degree at Leeds University, I worked as an analytical chemist at ICI for seven years. I then studied for my PGCE as a Science Teacher and worked as a teacher specialising in Chemistry for eleven years. After my son was born, I worked as an Invigilator and a Teaching Assistant on a 1-2-1 basis.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love being able to share my knowledge and hearing pupils say ‘now I understand’.
What do you enjoy most about Teesside High School?
Coming from a background of working in schools with over 1200 pupils, I love the size of the school, especially the small class sizes, and working with incredibly dedicated staff.
What is your favourite time of the year?
Springtime, as I love to see the blossoming flowers and enjoy the longer, warmer days.
What do others say about you?
It would be logical if you asked someone else what they thought of me, so I suppose I am logical!
