A-level Results Day – Thursday 15 August 2024

Year 13 students at Teesside High School Sixth Form are celebrating a 100% A-level pass rate for the sixth successive year.

Almost half of all examination entries secured a prestigious high grade (A*-B).

100% success rate continues for medicine applicants

Amongst a host of first choice university offers for students, we are particularly proud to continue our outstanding track record for applicants in medicine.

Year 13 pupil Joy, 18, from Ingleby Barwick, achieved A*AA in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry and a place to read medicine at the University of Leicester – maintaining our impressive 100% success rate for university offers in this highly selective field.

Kirsty Mackenzie, Head, said: “Joy’s success is just one example of our Year 13 students’ hard work being rewarded today.

“As a small independent school, we get to know our pupils incredibly well, and this makes days like today all the more special. As our pupils and now young adults venture off to their next step, whether it be to university, a degree apprenticeship or into the world of work, it has been a privilege to work alongside them to not only achieve strong examination results, but the host of other skills and qualities which makes each and everyone of them stand out from the crowd.

“It goes without saying that this cohort of pupils are set for bright futures ahead and we wish them all the very best of luck.”
